It Works Podcast #7 mit Alex Bayer(Lewd and Loud)

Alex is one of the leading minds behind lewdandloud. Born and raised in a small city in lower Bavaria DIY was just a natural consequence. Self-arranged parties at local spots were his first play times. As soon as he discovered electronic music he felt in love with vinyl and is still taking a stand for exclusively playing wax. His well sorted collection includes a wide range of mainly house music with a special focus on deep variety, Detroit- and dub techno. In general Alex got no blinders to the great variety of electronic music overall, what you can hear in his Dj- or live sets as well as in his productions. His music, not only performed solo, but also in company with friendly producers, shows his reflected view on house music.

It Works Podcast #4 mit Trevor Deep Jr(HPTY)

Mystery man hailing from Finland. Some people may know him, or at least have heard of him, but most don´t. And he likes it that way.
There's a strong presence of raw house, modern techno, african and analoque sounds in TDJ´s music. Also, influences from Larry Heard, Moodymann or Theo Parrish cannot be denied.
But since there are always more questions than answers, let his music speak for itself.

btw: TDJ´s latest release is out in February on Helsinki based HPTY- recordings. Check it out!

It Works Podcast #3 mit Jonna(City Fly)

One of the founders of City Fly; Jonna has been responsible for helping City Fly grow from being a small club night into a well respected Record label and radio show. Jonna was a very skinny teenager as he used to save what little money he had (often the dinner money his mum gave him) to spend on records every week. A mature US House, Deep & West Coast sound was the flavour of choice for Jonna even at such an early age. Inpired by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Derrick Carter, H Foundation, Pepe Bradock, Strictly Rhythm & Moody Records out of Chicago!
The future is looking bright For Jonna & City Fly with bigger and better parties coming up, already published releases lined up on City Fly from the likes of Creative Swing Alliance, Flori, Iron Curtis, Kez YM & Andres with Jonna also stepping into the Studio. Jonna has also attracted the attention of the new Illusion Agency who will now be handeling dj bookings, label parties and managing a few of City Fly key artists.

It Works Podcast #2 mit S_EncE(eden.deeply)

S_EncE:
"Hi my name is S_EncE (pronounced like essence) and i´m from northern germany. I started making music about twelve years ago when a friend of mine got Propellerhead ReBirth. From that day on i spent a lot of my money on things for music-production. First i started with Propellerhead Reason Version 1.0. Later on i bought some hardware and was hooked on the knobs and cables-thing.Today, all of my music comes just from hardware, computer is just used to record it. Since 2 years my tracks come up like this:
i start the machines, program some patterns and melodies and then hit the record button and start a live-jam-thing. So, there is definately no total recall and stuff like that. Once a track is recorded i would not change it.
The reason why i´m producing music is that there are so many ideas and sounds and feelings in my mind that had to get out. And for me the only way to get them out is to jam with my machines.
Thanks for your interest."

It Works Podcast #1 mit Mark Rhein(Wake Up!)

Moomin, Delano Smith, Move D etc)
für seine House Reihe Wake Up! ein.
Ein ziemlich umtriebiger Zeitgenosse der old school zu 100% Vinyl auflegt.
